English summer courses in UK for kids and teens at our sister language school near Oxford
ELT Banbury English Summer Camp

This summer ELT Banbury launches its exciting new project for young learners!

From 20th June until 30th July 2011 we will be organizing a unique English summer camp for students (kids and teens) aged 12 to 17. The program will be a combination of leisure, fun, culture and top quality teaching from a British Council accredited school.

The minimum English language course duration is 1 week and the maximum is 6 weeks.

Banbury is a traditional Oxfordshire market town situated in the “golden triangle” between Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Oxford. Lots of visitors come to Oxfordshire to experience the urban delights of Oxford, with it's colleges or to visit the birthplace of Shakespeare. Oxfordshire also has delightful countryside to offer with outstanding pretty villages dotted along the banks of the Oxford Canal. Students can enjoy themselves at the sport & leisure facilities in town, spend a day out playing sports or picnicking in the lovely Peoples’ Park just minutes from the school or live a traditional British holiday experience taking a cruise on the Oxford Canal in one of the famous narrow boats. In the case of young students an undisputable quality of Banbury is the safety of a small town and the fact that everything is within walking distance.

ELT Banbury - our English language school near Oxford, was founded in 1978 and has over 30 years of tradition and know-how in the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) industry. To date we have been focusing on and developing our adult English courses and business products, the highest quality of which is confirmed by the British Council accreditation. Our Clients have always been extremely satisfied with our services and many of them as parents have raised the issue that it is a shame we do not offer a product for young learners in such a fantastic location.

Therefore, in order to meet our clients’ expectations we are organizing the ELT Banbury English summer camp. The key values for ELT Banbury have always been clients’ satisfaction, quality and providing a truly English experience. To guarantee maximum attention to each students’ needs the English summer camp this year will not exceed the capacity of 30 students in any given week. We intend to provide our students with a thrilling cultural and education experience doing project work and visiting places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Black Country Living Museum and many others. The ELT Banbury English summer camp as all our products is not designed as a mass product but as a product fulfilling the expectations of the most demanding students and parents.

English Summer Camp Programme outline:

English lessons in UK:

15 x 60 minutes per week, student are divided into 3 levels based on their proficiency in English and age

Our English Lessons are in the form of project work, which encourages students to use and present their ideas and findings in English. As teaching levels advance in non-native countries English students expect more from the teaching in native speaking countries. The English projects that students do at ELT Banbury increase the students’ confidence and fluency, preparing them for any situation they may come across in the UK, whether it be going to the doctors of getting lost in a big city. A lot of students at ELT Banbury go on to study in English Universities and gain greatly from understanding the teaching techniques of the UK and the importance of good learner training. The projects students produce vary from radio programs and videos to designing and producing their own websites in English, and all this is done with fun, learning and confidence building incorporated.

English in action project involves various research and interview activities aimed at preparing the ELT Banbury English summer camp newspaper and presentation.

Sport & fun: these can include both outdoor and indoor sports such as football, tennis, badminton, volleyball etc. as well as arts & crafts projects

Evening activities: these can include a barbecue, a school party, a bowling evening, a film night etc.

Half-day and full-day excursions: these can include excursions to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Oxford, Black Country Living Museum, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, Silverstone/Aston Martin Museum etc.

Excursion to London available for students 16 years + at an additional fee of £35.00 not including entrance fees.

Accommodation

Students will be accommodated with closely selected and verified host families. The majority of ELT Banbury host families are located within a 5 to 20 minute walking distance from the school. Being the only language school in Banbury we have the possibility to cooperate only with the best.

Host families provide students with a breakfast and an evening meal. Packed lunches will be provided in our English language school during the lunch break between 1 pm and 2 pm.

Return airport transfer

We offer airport transfer from and to the following airports: London Heathrow, London Luton, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Birmingham International

Return transfer is transfer from the airport on the day of arrival and transfer to the airport on the day of departure

The prices for transport are for the total transport and not per person
